The second installment in the series focused on Water Governance for EbA. It featured case studies on role of technologies in water governance and Pani panchayat for sustainable communities presented by two organisations SOPPECOM and Gram Gaurav Pratishthan respectively.
The first installment in the series focused on EbA in the context of Agriculture. It featured case studies on digital extension services and community-based agroforestry presented by two organisations Digital Green and Gram Vikas respectively.
Organized by WOTR, W-CReS, ECOBARI, and Honeywell, this event facilitated discussions among practitioners and experts on challenges and opportunities related to Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) for better stakeholder dialogue.
This even reflected on research studies and engaged in discussions as to how farm ponds can be managed to promote sustainable and equitable use of our water resources so that all farmers, particularly those in the rainfed regions of the country can benefit.
The SAGE Fellowship Program, led by the echo network, offers an immersive learning opportunity for students from India and the Nordic regions. Through lectures, field trips, panel discussions, stakeholder interactions, and networking events, participants will gain valuable insights into one health, regenerative agriculture, ecosystem valuation, and circular economy.
ECOBARI partners – SOPPECOM, TMG Think Tank, and WOTR/W-CReS, collaborated for a 2-day workshop under SEWOH lab project, exploring digital tools’ potential in equitable water management. The workshop addressed data collection, climate-resilient crop planning, and effective water governance through digitization, benefiting ongoing research for decision support systems in Water User Associations.
ECOBARI participated in “Expert Dialogues” by the echo network which is a unique opportunity for professionals from different sectors to come together to develop a series of initial projects addressing knowledge gaps in the areas of One Health, Regenerative Agriculture, Ecosystem Valuation, and Circular Economy. The series is designed as a process that starts with online meetings and culminates with physical meetings in India early 2023.
“Building resilience” was a unique event hosted by the echo network, Council of Energy, Environment and Water (CEEW), National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS) along with ECOBARI. The event focused on India’s future for food security and climate resilience. Short films were screened from different parts of the country focusing on important themes like water management and climate-resilient agriculture highlighting the importance of food security in the agricultural sector.
